I am Sebastiano Palumbo, owner and founder at Linguaecultura.com 

I have been passionately teaching Italian to non-natives since 2013 and I am a DITALS certified teacher since 2017.

I  speak both English and Spanish fluently.

I use a communicative approach to language teaching. 

That means the primary objective is being able to effectively communicate your needs or intention in a realistic context, rather than knowing all the grammar. 

My focus is on YOU, the learner, on what drives and motivates you. I’ll do my best to provide original material that fits you, your interests and reasons, aimed at meeting your personal goals with Italian.

Language is the way we describe ourselves, our inner and outer world, and the people and things around us. It therefore very clearly shapes the way we perceive reality. 

That is why I consider language and culture as something indissolubly linked to one another. Not only knowing the language will enrich your cultural understanding of a nation, and vice versa; language and culture need to advance together if one wants to reach proficiency.

Last but not least, it takes two to learn a language. You’ll need to do your part, be focused, and have dedication. I don’t advertise any shortcut, any magic trick that will make you proficient in Italian in ten hours. 

Please be wary of those who do. That’s because I have been there! 

I know what it feels like. Learning a foreign language is a huge task, one that takes time and effort. 

It’s like an ocean, yet to be explored. In lack of a (professional, human) teacher, you lack a compass in your expedition. A long, exciting adventure becomes an almost impossible one. Let me be your own personal, reliable compass in this great journey!
