Ciao!
My name is Sebastiano Palumbo and I teach italian to non-natives since 2013.
I got my DITALS certification in 2017 and have made this my full time profession since then.
I am passionate about italian history and literature, from Dante to the Reinassance, and the history of italian language as well. During my classes we will frequently refer to the ethimology of words and their different meanings in different times.

My experience has taught me that language and culture are deeply interwined together, and proficiency requires the understang of both.
Also, my main focus as a teacher is on the communicative side of language, meaning that I privilege real-life applications over grammar and rules. That is, my students will grasp grammar and rules by speaking, and not the other way around.

I am based in Siracusa, Italy and offer classes and courses both on-line and in presence. My studio is in the city centre.
